Square Concrete Footing Form
Making the World Safer One Foot at a Time

The ICC Evaluation Service, Inc. (ICC-ES) has approved SQUARE FOOT® by Sound Footings LLC as the only code-approved square concrete footing form in the United States. Soon to be mandated throughout the U.S., the newly created ICC-ES guidelines point to SQUARE FOOT as the construction industry’s standard for concrete footing forms.

“Working with the ICC-ES to create specific guidelines for concrete footings was a necessary step to ensure that all concrete footings will meet and exceed all building code requirements and policies,” said Karen Wells, CFO of Sound Footings. “SQUARE FOOT has proven to be the safest concrete footing form through rigorous density and shrink testing.”

Introduced to the market in 2001, SQUARE FOOT, a pre-formed square footing for concrete spread foundations, has provided contractors and residents with superior structural strength, increased stability and bearing capacity to withstand uplifting and tilting for commercial and residential uses.

The ICC-ES evaluation report ESR-1131 provides guidance to code officials faced with approving the use of SQUARE FOOT under these codes. The evaluation report is available online at www.icc-es.org or on our website www.sqfoot.com.

As the standard concrete footing form for the construction industry, the uniquely patented SQUARE FOOT can be used for residential and commercial applications with any standard construction tube that is 8 to18” in diameter. SQUARE FOOT has been used for a variety of uses including bridges, barns, decks, docks, radio towers, fences, wharfs, additions, gazebos, flag poles, storage sheds and traffic lights to name a few.

SQUARE FOOT is quickly and easily installed by attaching the footing to a construction tube, placing the footing in an excavated hole and backfilling around the concrete footing and pier. A demonstration of the SQUARE FOOT installation process can be seen at http://www.sqfoot.com/SFvideo.html.

The vibrant orange plastic footings are available in three models. The SF 22 accommodates 8 and 10” tubes, the SF 28 accommodates 8, 10 and 12” tubes and the SF32 accommodates 12, 14, 16 and 18” tubes. SQUARE FOOT can be purchased at local professional lumberyards, concrete material suppliers and at select Home Depot store locations in New England. Contractors can be confident in SQUARE FOOT’s qualities, and save substantial labor and material costs by reducing time during installation.
